**NOTICE**
Changes to permitting
Beginning Monday, April 28, the Growth Management Department will begin transitioning to a new permitting software. During this time, permit applications may be submitted as usual, including through mypermit@myokaloosa.com . We appreciate your patience and please accept our apologies for any issues this may cause.
Inspection requests may be emailed to gminspections@myokaloosa.com. Inspections may also be requested by phone at 850-651-7180 or 850-689-5080, or in person at our offices.
_______________
Web Permitting can be used for all types of permits or inspections (i.e., building and planning permits, fire inspections, code enforcement, health and safety inspections). As of now, users can search on existing permits, gather parcel information, as well as estimate the fees of new permits.
Addressing
Okaloosa County does not address vacant land unless the property is located in a platted subdivision. In order to get and address for your vacant land a permit must be issued by the building permit office.
It must be one of these 3 permits types single family dwelling SFD (to build a house), electrical ELE (to put temporary power to the property), or manufactured home MFD (to place a mobile home).
Please contact the GM Address Coordinator at 850-651-7523 for any questions.
